N. T. Wright Plays Golf

Bishop, Theologian, and all around good guy, N. T. Wright was on Stephen Colbert last night.

I cannot tell you how excited I was that Wright was on this program.  Granted, a 6 minute forum is not nearly enough time to express the nuance and detail that is “New Creation” theology.  Nor is the Colbert Report,  a show that satirizes and minimizes politics and politicians, a great venue for such a deep, powerful and urgently necessary conversation.

But he was on and was able to drive home that foundational point: Jesus Christ died and rose again which means that Christians have a purpose and mission here on earth right now.
